We advise every client, old or young, to make Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). Lasting Powers of Attorney ensure that your finances and personal affairs are properly managed in the event that you should lack the capacity to do so yourself. They could almost be seen as an insurance policy. They may never be needed, though it could prove to be stressful and costly if you fail to make one.

We offer a personalised service to ensure that your Lasting Powers of Attorney meet your requirements. You may have specific wishes about where your money is invested, or the medical treatment you receive. There may be family members you wish to act on your behalf, or you may have a trusted professional adviser you wish to appoint instead. Lasting Powers of Attorney are very powerful yet very personal documents, and we can guide you through the process.

We can also advise upon General Powers of Attorney, which are suitable for interim measures, and the older existing Enduring Powers of Attorney.

In some circumstances, an individual may not have the requisite capacity to make a power of attorney. Where this is not possible, we can assist with making an application to the Court of Protection for a Deputyship Order, and advise you along every step of the way.
